Medicare Supplements

Medicare Supplement Insurance (MediGap)

A Medicare Supplement plan is used to help pay for health care costs that Medicare alone will not cover. These plans not only limit out-of-pocket costs, but they allow for you to keep your own doctor, specialist, and hospital.

Medicare Advantage Insurance (Part C/MA Plans)

Medicare Advantage Plans, also known as Part C or MA Plans, are another way to get Medicare coverage. If you sign up for a Medicare Advantage plan, you still have Medicare. However, instead of using original Medicare, you will receive Medicare Part A (Hospital Insurance) and Medicare Part B (Medical Insurance) coverage from a private company that Medicare approves. Medicare Advantage plans include Health Maintenance Organizations (HMO), or Preferred Provider Organizations (PPO).

Medicare Prescription Plans (Part D)

Medicare offers prescription drug coverage (Part D) to everyone with Medicare. If you decide not to join a Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) when you become eligible to do so, or if you do not have any other credible prescription drug coverage or receive Extra Help, you will likely get charged a penalty. To receive Medicare drug coverage, you must join a plan ran by an insurance company or any private company approved by Medicare. Each plan can vary in cost depending on drugs covered.
